Part of my duties as a sister-in-law is doing a wedding shower for her, which I loved doing! We had the "family" get together. The family consists of Zenger's, Christensen's, and Gilbert's. We brought gifts that will help Ang and Spencer enjoy our time together on our family trips; Zion's, Targhee, Lake Powell, etc. When Ang opened a gift, the person that gave the gift gave some counsel and/or advice for the wedding day/marriage. It was neat to hear what others had to say.
Teri: "You will find what you are looking for, look for the good."
Cindy: "Don't sweat the small stuff."
Carly: "Find fun things to do together."
Mary: "Have your own fun spending money."
Susie: gave advice on how to save money when grocery shopping
Tessa: "Pray together nightly while holding hands."
Ellie: "If you have to complain about your husband, tell your mother-in-law because she will still love her son."
Ann: "Have open communication."
I made fruit pizza and raspberry lemonade. Ellie made beautiful jars and brought sunflowers to go in them. The nice thing about all of these families is that it is SO easy for us to be together; we just talk and laugh a lot. That is mostly what we did.
